Monthly Archives: September 2018

I am a firm believer that a red lip counts as an accessory. It can be the perfect finish to a daytime or night out look. Classy, sexy, sophisticated, there are so many ways to wear it. Finding the perfect shade can sometimes be the issue. Dior recently introduced the Rouge Dior Ultra Rouge collection and it is the perfect solution to that problem. So many shades, 22 to be exact, from berry-colored "Ultra Hype" to bold, brick red "Ultra Feminine." I will definitely be adding this accessory to my bag for fall.

Woman by Ralph Lauren

I recently hosted a lunch for some of my closest friends and colleagues to introduce the Woman by Ralph Lauren fragrance. We enjoyed a delicious, Asian meal while we talked about the fragrance and the inspiration behind it.

This is the first female scent Ralph Lauren has created in 10 years, taking inspiration from the mix of masculinity and femininity. The scent captures both so well with bold tuberose and rich, vibrant woods.

The bottle is designed differently than most fragrances I've seen, and could easily serve as a piece of decor in the home. The shape design resembles a flask, with rose gold finishes to embody the feminine side of the fragrance.

Putting together the table setting was so much fun and something I definitely wouldn't mind doing again. I really wanted the decor to resemble the fragrance, feminine yet bold. I chose light colors and gold accents. I am obsessed with these plates and the monogrammed boxes each of the girls got to take their fragrances home in.

It's always such a good time when this group gets together. I say this often, but the celebration of womanhood is so important to me, so being able to collaborate with this fragrance and the story behind it was the highlight of my week.

I hope the girls enjoyed themselves and left feeling full of delicious food, smelling amazing and like always, feeling proud to be a woman. #leadlikeawoman Xx Darja

JACQUEMUS – “La Riviera”

Jacquemus was definitely the most anticipated show of Paris Fashion Week, if not the whole season. So I was extremely sad that I couldn't attend this year's show.

Jacquemus paired with The Woolmark Company to create this SS19 collection, using "cool wool" to make his own, iconic twist on the normally fall/winter-used fabric. His goal was to create young and exciting quality products at an affordable price.

Even though summer just ended, I am definitely wishing for it to come back after seeing this collection. I loved the structured, business-like silhouettes in bright jewel tones, as well as the embracement of the female body. It's an amazing, new take on the summer wardrobe that I'm here for. Again, I am so sad I couldn't make it to this show, but a huge congrats to Jacquemus and his team on an amazing collection.

Omega – Her Time

I recently had the privilege of traveling back to my home country of Russia with an amazing group of women to celebrate the opening of the "Her Time" exhibition in St. Petersburg by Omega with Nicole Kidman.

I have always loved a good watch with my looks, they add a touch of class and sophistication. I am officially hooked on the "Trésor" model with the beautiful, blue leather strap. Learning more about the 100+ plus years of Omega watches was so much fun.

I love that Omega's main goal with this launch was to not only showcase their history, but also the ever-changing, diverse attitudes, styles and personalities of women all around the world.

Thank you so much to the Omega team for having me. I left feeling a bit home sick after being back in my beautiful home country, but most importantly, empowered to be a woman. Xx Darja

Cathrine Hammel – 21 Steps

Xx

English Translation: Perhaps one of the most creative shows of the season was the Cathrine Hammel SS19 show - 21 Steps. A show so unique and well thought out, I think it left an immense impression on everyone in the room, as well as anyone who saw it through social media. She took the concept of the "woman's everyday life" and turned it into pure art, all set to the tune of Drake's "Nice For What". Walking through the show, we were introduced to different scenarios with the models/actors; trying on the clothes in front of a mirror, taking a bath, having breakfast, crying in bed, etc. The clothes themselves were full of beautiful flesh tones like peach, cream and black with lots of tulle and elaborate yet modern silhouettes. An innovative idea celebrating women in a simple and effortless way, cheers to Cathrine Hammel. Xx
